BENEFITS OF ALFALFA
Top quality pasture such as lucerne is the easiest and most economical way of providing all the fibre racehorses require, as lucerne normally has more proteins than any other type of forage and can be used to raise the level of proteins in horse diets.
Alfalfa for horses is easily dispensed, allowing the animals to have a controlled and regulated diet. This guarantees full benefit being made of the nutritional value and ensures good digestion and a balanced intestinal pH as lucerne contains a balanced fibre composition.
PROTEIN CONTENT
Its protein content is higher and it may completely replace the dried version, in cubes or pellets, providing greater nutritional value and quality to the animal’s feed.
It is high in vitamins and minerals: it is rich in calcium, vitamins A, D and E and other minerals (calcium, phosphorous, potassium, chlorine, zinc, copper and iron).
The protein content of Alfalfa lies between 18% and 23% and it is of the highest quality. Free from dust and mould, it is ideal for animals with respiratory problems or ulcers.
As it can be placed in large-size bales and easily stacked, it saves both in terms of transport and storage.
QUALITIES FOR THE SHEEP AND BEEF CATTLE MARKET
Our market is geared towards this type of livestock because it is optimal for milk production.
We have ventured into the sheep market because our lucerne is exquisite, most particularly for Lacha sheep.
Rich in fibre, it has large leaves and this makes it rich in proteins.
